Analytische Psychotherapie

Psychoanalysis

Psychoanalysis is a depth psychology approach in which your current problems are explored and worked on within the context of early life and relationship experiences. It is based on the principle that past experiences, especially those from childhood, shape emotional interactions and relationship patterns in adulthood. In order to bring about lasting change, psychoanalysis involves several weekly sessions (2 to 4 times per week), either lying on a couch or sitting face-to-face.

The aim of analytical psychotherapy

is to resolve unconscious conflicts, fears and desires by exploring their deeper meaning and to foster lasting change. In this way, recurring and sometimes dysfunctional patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving can be altered. This requires a stable therapeutic framework with continuity and commitment of several years. The therapeutic process links past and present experiences, and involves the patient-therapist relationship in order to overcome unconscious dynamics.
